GETTING THERE - Cheung Chau is served by ferries from Central Pier 5 on Hong Kong Island, Aberdeen and also the Inter-Island ferry service connecting Cheung Chau, Chi Ma Wan and Mui Wo on Lantau Island and Peng Chau

CENTRAL (HONG KONG ISLAND) - CHEUNG CHAU

There are two types of ferry in operation on the HK Island – Cheung Chau route. The "Fast Ferry" has high-speed catamarans with a passenger capacity of between 200 and 400 and completes the journey in 35 minutes. The triple deck “Ordinary Ferry" has a passenger capacity of between 1200 and 1700 and takes 55 minutes to reach Cheung Chau. Ferries operate at roughly 30 minute intervals during the daytime and evening and there are also a few sailings between midnight and 6am. On Sundays and Public Holidays ferries operate at an increased frequency so just head on down to Pier 5 and cue
